President Obama and Cover Oregon Recognize North by Northeast’s Enrollment Success

Cover Oregon recently highlighted the great work North by Northeast has been doing getting our patients and community members enrolled in health coverage over the past five months. We’ve reached out by phone and mail to all of our patients, encouraging them to come in and get enrolled, as well as offered appointments for Cover Oregon enrollment assistance to community members and new patients. On March 29, we held our first enrollment event here at the clinic. With support from our own volunteer Enrollment Assisters as well as Assisters from the African American Health Coalition and the Coalition of Community Health Clinics, we enrolled over 40 individuals in health coverage! Thanks to North by Northeast Patient Care Coordinator Dolly England for all her hard work putting together and spreading the word about the event. Stay tuned for information about another enrollment event in late April before the April 30 deadline to enroll.

We’re proud of our staff members’ & volunteers’ efforts…and so is President Obama! In March, Dolly received a letter from President Obama thanking her and our entire team for their efforts!
