Welcome (back) Danielle!

Welcome back to our newest staff member, Danielle Tucker! Danielle joined us first as a front desk volunteer last summer and then stepped up to become our temporary Program Assistant for several months when we needed additional help. She then left Portland to teach English in the Dominican Republic for five months. When Danielle returned in June she jumped right back into her role as Program Assistant. Her responsibilities include greeting patients, answering the phone, keeping our office running
smoothly and ensuring a positive experience for all of our patients and visitors to the clinic. Danielle has lived most of her life in Northeast Portland and is excited to use her position at North by Northeast to give back to the neighborhood that helped raise her. In the future, she plans to become a physician and help provide comprehensive healthcare to impoverished and diverse communities. As Danielle says, “I love working at North by Northeast Community Health Center because this clinic is a safe
haven for the community. People receive quality healthcare here and they trust and depend on us. Many have grown to love us!” Danielle will make a wonderful physician someday. In the meantime, we’re so fortunate to have this young woman on our staff.
