Taking Barbershop Health National…and Virtual
In October we held our first of three virtual convenings with folks doing barbershop health work all over the country. We were joined by 27 barbers, barbershop owners and program coordinators from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Denver, Oakland, Jackson, Nashville, Los Angeles and the Bay Area. In Memoriam: Kevin Howard (1952 - 2020)
In October we lost one of North by Northeast’s greatest champions, Mr. Kevin Howard. Mr. Howard first came to NxNE as a patient in 2011, then joined our Patient Wellness Council along with his wife, Ms. Carla Howard, and finally served as a board member from 2015 – 2019.
