New Developments in Cuts and Checks
Our Cuts and Checks barbershop blood pressure program continues to grow with some exciting new developments! We launched our second Community Health Training for Student Barbers at Champions Barbering Institute in July. Champions is now requiring all their barbering students to go through NxNE’s training, and we’re thrilled to reach even more of Portland’s future barbers through this unique partnership. A Welcome and a Farewell
In July we said goodbye to our longtime Medical Assistant, Tiara Williams. Tiara joined NxNE in 2016 as a part-time MA, part-time student at Portland State University, Army Medic in the National Guard and mom to an energetic two-year-old! She leaves NxNE with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science/Spanish and as the mom of a kindergartener, headed to the Middle East on deployment.
